=>The first screen shows a local advertisement of Samsung in form of virtual billboard which changes to a global one when you push the global button on the top left. Virtual billboard advertisements have several benefits. As the advertisement is brought into areal context, the user will much likely remember it much longer. That also implies that advertisements on web maps can do more than just advertising. This new way of advertising also leaves a new kind of user experience
Everything started with the question ‘Won’t the advertising effects be greatest if you put a billboard advertisement on locations or landmarks that users search most often?’ The next question was ‘How big will be the advertising effect of global companies like Samsung, Coca Cola or Nokia when they advertise on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Opera House in Sidney and other famous places on landmarks around the world?’
This new way of advertising allows global and local advertisement at the same time.
In order to make a first step into the global advertising arena, g-ad solution plans to become internationally active with image advertisement solution that are created with the help of aerial and satellite imagery at the beginning of March 2009.
